Home Work Policy

  • Home work is an integral part of school Itis a means to develop individual study skills, encouraging students to be responsible
  • Reception and Lower Primary school students are not given a formal homework. The students, however, regularly take home reading exercises, which should be shared with parents. In Upper Primary and Middle School, homework is given on a regular basis and mentioned in the notebook or school diary. Therefore a Homework Record Book and Homework Time Table should be made at home for each child.
  • Home work helps to inculcate learning habits and provide an important link between home and hence, parents should not attempt to do the homework but rather help their children to understand and complete the work by themselves.
  • The school policy on homework is clearly a pragmatic since homework marks will be an important part of the assessment procedure, Parents having problems in tackling their children ‘s homework should seek advice from Teachers and Head of the Departments.
